This is a 188 Gas Engine Automatic Carburetor

This is for a 188 gas engine automatic carburetor with electric fuel shutoff. Most carburetors for gas engines 11hp and up come in 1 of 2 styles but there are exceptions. This carburetor is an automatic style of carburetor that is used when there is an external way to adjust the throttle. The other most common style is the manual style that has a long choke handle.

This carburetor comes standard with an electric fuel shutoff solenoid on the bottom. This solenoid is powered through 2 quick connect wires that are pictured.

While most of the time you can visually compare parts to match the correct one needed it is always a good idea to remove and compare everything possible. When you purchase this carburetor it will include the 2 gaskets for either side of the carburetor and a new carburetor insulator.
